Recently I've been trying and testing new products here and there trying to find some new beauty gems. 

Here are my top 3 which I've fallen in love with!

Anastasia Bevery Hills - Maya Mia Palette (limited edition)

This is one of the most beautiful palettes I've ever bought, the packaging makes you want to reach for it everyday and the colours are bold, vibrant and exciting. 

The shadows themselves last all day with out any primer or re-application and most importantly don't crease! 

The palette itself is filled with matte and shimmer shadows, which I love as this means you can wear them for a subtle day look and then adding shimmer which creates a more dramatic effect making this the ultimate go to palette. 

Too Faced - Better Than Sex Mascara

This mascara has suddenly exploded in the blogging world and everybody is thriving to get their hands on it. everywhere I look its constantly sold out & I had to really rush to get hold of it. 

Its a beautiful mascara, this is going to sound odd - but I love the weight of the mascara. Its surprisingly heavy which helps me find it if I'm rummaging around my handbag for it, but also it feels more "expensive" as its heavier too, so light weight plastic-ey material.. this is the real deal! 

Of course, the main thing which makes this mascara my "go-to" is the wand. Its perfect, Yep - perfect. its hour glass shaped which I love and really allows you to pull volume into the roots along side hugging every single lash, its so build-able, doesn't clump up or flake off, a light weight formula. now all we need is a waterproof version. 

CND shellac gel - Cake pop

Recently, I've been working a lot in my local garden centre. Which, as you can probably guess, really does beat up my nails. every time I sit down and make my nails look great, the next day its flaked off, so I decided to give Gel a go instead and I've been hooked, It lasts for a good 1 and half -2 weeks with out cracking, splitting or chipping. I wear it on holidays and for work and all you need to do is soak your nails in nail varnish remover to peel them off. 

I use the CND base and top coat in-between the colour and use a UV lamp to set it. 

This is currently my favourite colour, its a gorgeous baby pink and work well with my light skin tone also isn't too over the top for work.

My Makeup Staples

Hello Everyone!

As the weather is changing and spring is here. I decided to give my makeup bag a really good spring clean (yep... that includes throwing it in to the washing machine) 

I thought I would share with you my make up staples and what I am wearing undoubtedly every single day :) 

Laura Mercier - Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 Natural

Collection 2000 - Lasting Perfection Concealer 1 Fair

I've been using tinted moisturizer a lot recently as the weather is clearing up, I find it more pleasant to wear and the coverage is perfect. Obviously, it being sunny isn't always the best as it draws out impurities (yes- this means one thing...spots!) so to keep them at bay I've been using the Collection 2000 concealer, this stuff is incredible -honestly! I've used my fair share of high street and "fancy" concealers from more higher brands and I got back to this everytime!  

YSL - Shocking Mascara

Best. Mascara. Ever. 

Yep - I know Maybelline Great Lash is (and always will be) the Queen of all mascaras, but i'll happily crown this the Princess. Also, who doesn't treat themselves on a splash out mascara anyway? 

If you do, I recommend this one! 

Iv been using this constantly, and so many people have commented on how long my lashes are looking, you only need a couple of coats and your set for the day.. 

no re-applying.. no clumping... no flaking.. no irritation... it's magic in a (very shiny) tube.

Urban Decay - Naked Basics

Firstly, please excuse the nail mark in the light brown (Naked 2) I never know how it happens... but its not an unusual thing for me... 

This palette is gorgeous, Im so chuffed with it and use it constantly. I really do love the Naked 1,2 & 3 palettes but this one is just so.. well... basic? & the size is perfect, easy to chuck into your makeup bag and your set! 

The colours, like all Urban Decay colours are so pigmented and last all day and I love them, I can have a crazy day at college and none of it decides to take a detour down my face or crease in unflattering places.

L'Oreal - Color Riche Collection Privee By Julianne Moore 

This is the most beautiful lipstick i've ever bought, It's the perfect nude colour for my skin tone and really affordable. It's very similar to Angel by MAC and has a similar sweet smell... (if that makes any sense at all, it did in my head..) 

All that aside, this lipstick is gorgeous & they have other lipstick designed by the L'Oreal models too such as Cheryl and Eva Longoria which are equally as beautiful.

Spring Clean - French Manicure

Hello! 

As Spring is finally here I thought I would do a post on the classic, clean, beautiful french manicure. 

I've seen this look popping up all over the place used with various colours, styles and shapes especially for spring, so this is definitely a look to watch out for in the up-coming months.

I have to admit, as my nails have only just started recovering from the winter months I wanted to keep it to the traditional, clean french manicure. 

To create this look I used BarryM 342 Nude and 66 Matte White.

I use BarryM nail varnish all the time, it's definitely become my favourite drugstore/high street nail varnish, their colours are so up to date, their constancy is lovely, the colour glides on to the nail evenly & most importantly they don't chip and look perfect for up to about a week (coming from an art student) Also, they dry so quickly...what more could you want?! 

I didn't use the french manicure guild line stickers, as when it comes to nails I tend to have quite a steady hand, but I definitely recommend them as they create a really clean line.

Naked3 -Urban Decay

Hello!

Yes! The sun is coming out, the flowers are blooming and all the tree are looking fuzzy which means one thing...Spring is finally here and I've managed to build up the courage 

and buy the Naked 3 palette by Urban Decay! 

Price: £37 ($52)

There has been so much uproar about this palette so I wanted to get my hands on it, but was slightly put off when I saw how pink the palette was, as I've got very pale skin and wasn't 100% sure.

For my birthday I was given a gift card for Debenhams so I went a head and got it! 

I have to say it really is beautiful the colours are perfect for Spring/Summer as they're really really natural and light. 

The first thing that strikes you is the lovely packaging, like the Naked 2 its in a tin, which is extremely convenient and protects all your eyeshadows very well. 

This also means the font on the front and down the spine doesn't rub off (which I found with the Naked 1 felt packaging) 

Like the Naked 2, the palette contains a Dual ended Urban Decay brush & The box included 4 packets of Urban Decay Primer Potion which was a lovely add on and feels like your getting that little extra for your money.

Here are the colours, they all live up to Urban Decays flying reputation meaning very pigmented and give a gorgeous colour pay off so that you don't need to use much to get an effective look that lasts all day. 

These colours, when used correctly, last forever. I've had the Naked 1 palette since it first came out (about 3 years ago) and still haven't hit pan, the texture of the colours are gorgeous too! They're smooth and extremely blend-able & are totally worth the money.

Like the other 2 palettes this contains a mixture of Matte and Shimmer colours, this is perfect for any look. It also has 12 never-before-seen shades which are exclusive to the Naked 3 Palette. 

Below are some swatches which I did only touching the colour pan lightly and you can see for yourself how pigmented the colours are!

Rihanna MAC Pleasure Bomb Lipstick Review

Hey there! 

So, This is a post which I had to share with you guys! 

For every girl who loves makeup as much as me would be aware of Rihanna's new collection for MAC, which completely sold out in just under 10 minutes!!

After waiting and waiting I finally managed to get my hands on the RiRi Hearts MAC collection and got her "break-through" lipstick Pleasure Bomb! 

I can totally understand what all the fuss is about, its a beautiful Matte Fuchsia Pink. I was extremely worried about this lipstick being too neon to wear over christmas, but its quite a cool pink with slight cool red/blue undertones (which makes your teeth look sparkly white -who wouldn't want that?!) and is very wearable. 

Also, as this isn't like a pure red lipstick you don't have to go very bear on the eyes (so for girls like me thats a relief) when I wear this lipstick I tend to go for a brown smokey eye which really complements it. 

The texture of the lipstick is surprisingly moisturising as, personally, I found the RiRi Woo quite drying. The staying power on this lipstick is, like every MAC lippy, VERY good. Its doesn't slide and smudge & looks beautiful if you line your lips before hand for the perfect 'going out' look. 

The packaging for the Rihanna MAC collections has always been beautiful, but I really think they have gone all they way with this christmas collection. They've opted for a beautiful rose-gold and white theme which finishes off your makeup counter perfectly and screams "wear me!!" & as I've got 0% will power it's been top of my list for this party season.

If you can get your hands on it, I 100% recommend it!

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter holidays! 

It was so lovely to have a break off and get away from college work going shopping, meeting up with friends, catching up with lots of sleep and going out for meals with the boyfriend -as we just celebrated our 1 and a half years together! We also booked and payed for our holiday to Corfu this summer, so im super excited about that! :) 

but I'm back to blogging and getting back to reality! 

As the UK weather has been completely up and down recently and changing constantly from rain to sun my skin has of course been suffering, so I thought I'd step in and do my first Skin Care Routine for you guys just to show you whats been helping me along! :)

 I have been using these two products religiously! I use the scrub every other night and it makes my skin appear very clear and smooth, It does sting slightly but its nothing too harsh it just makes your skin feel very clean and refreshed. 

I use the foamy face wash every night and I love this product! It makes my skin look very clear, even and feel very refreshed. After a few days of using this product I have noticed a big difference in my skin and my blemishes have defiantly stayed away :)

Bare Minerals Prime Time - Debenhams

I useboth of these products under my foundation. They are both brilliant and create a really good smooth foundation base when used together. This is my second tube of Embryolisse and, as you can see, its nearly all gone! I discovered this product at IMATS in London 2012 and fell in-love with the product straight away! it makes your skin feel incredible!

Prime time is a great primer and holds my makeup through college no problem at all! This primer makes your skin feel amazing, the only fault I have with this product is the price, for such a small bottle so I do limit myself with it and only use this product on my T-zone.

Iv been using the Healthy mix Serum for a while now and Its a brilliant foundation, I have normal/combination skin, it looks so natural and blends in with my skin tone perfectly. I've also been using the Kryolan concealer wheel, I bourgh this from the stand at IMATS and love it! its got 6 different shades of pale concealers on 1 wheel so you can change the tone throughout summer and winter when your skin changes and they're very creamy and don't crease at all which Is brilliant. Finally I use this powder on my T-zone to keep away any shine and is a very smooth finishing powder. To blend my foundation in I use the Real Techniques Stippling Brush by Samantha Chapman and I couldn't recommend this brush enough! I love her range of brushes and they're fibers are very soft and great quality!

Max Factor Clump Defy Mascara Review

Hello!

So this is my review on this mascara by MaxFactor! I haven't seen many reviews on this mascara since its been out, so I thought id do a review for you all! 

Here it is and what the brush looks like, I personally, love the MaxFactor mascara packaging as its chunky and easy to find in a 'never ending' makeup bag (like mine!) and the colour of the bottle is also gorgeous, sort of a purply/plum colour!

Im really pleased with the shape of the brush they created with this mascara, as its curved you get plenty of volume and product on your eyelashes. so a little goes along way.

It claims that it 'defy's clumps' and with this mascara I can agree with its claim as you can't see any clumps leaving a really natural look, hence why this is brilliant for day-to-day mascara if your going for a more fresh look during school, college or even work.

This mascara is available from Boots.com at the price of £10.99 

I love the intense black colour you get from this mascara, as it makes your eyes stand out so much, and it doesn't flake off or run during the day.

The only problem I do find with this mascara its that its not very build-able. such as during the day and you want to apply more, it does tend to flake, but only a tiny bit.

The removal of this mascara is also very gentle, I've tested it out with makeup wipes, and various makeup remover liquids and this mascara hasn't once pulled at my eyelashes or been in anyway uncomfortable to take off at night.

White Cherry 3in1

 Bubble Bath, Shower Gel and Shampoo 

This was gifted to me at Christmas, and as you can tell by the amount iv already used -I'v completely fallen inlove with this product! I was worried that the smell of cherry would be, as usual, far too overpowering but i was extremely pleased to find out its got a very subtle,fresh smell to it. The first thing which drew me towards the product was the packaging. Its simple, yet classy and sits beautiful on any bathroom shelf. Once opened, I noticed the gorgeous pearlescent colour with shimmers of pink, white and silver. 

This product does contain glitter, which I don't mind much at all as it doesn't stick too much so you don't come out the bath, or shower looking like a glitter ball!
This product also has an amazing lather, feels really soft and cleans so well,whether your using it as a shampoo, bubble bath or shower gel..it ticks every box!  

 I love this product so much and defiantly want to check out more products by Philosophy going by this product!
As far as I'm aware this product is no longer on the philosophy website, but it may be on other websites which sell this brand. I defiantly recommend you to give this brand a go.
